Given the massive hype surrounding Pawan’s visit, lakhs of Pawan and Janasena supporters thronged the Vizag Steel Plant, hoping to see Pawan’s fireworks. While the crowd made the protest meet a grand success, Pawan has fizzled out their enthusiasm with his lackluster speech and half-hearted fight against the centre.
But, contrary to the sky-high expectations, Pawan’s ‘Ukku Garjana’ speech has turned out to be an utter flop show. Instead of blasting the Modi government, Pawan left no stone unturned to politicize this emotional issue and vehemently targeted the YS Jagan sarkar.
Throughout his speech, Pawan has not uttered even a single word against Modi or BJP. Instead, leaving everyone baffled, Pawan attacked AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for not fighting for Vizag Steel Plant’s survival. Pawan displayed his helplessness by saying that he cannot fight for the cause without a single MP. “They (YSRCP) even snatched away our only MLA,” said the Janasenani.
In a laughable statement, Pawan gave a week’s time to the Jagan-led YSRCP to announce that the state government will fight against the steel plant disinvestment. With today’s speech, Pawan has made it clear that he really can’t take on the Modi-Shah duo and that his concern for the existence of the steel plant and thousands of its employees is just a humbug.
Pawan could have at least said a thing or two against the BJP government to prove his sincerity towards steel plant. He has not achieved anything out of today’s speech, but only lost his credibility as a crusader against injustice. Common people and the protesting steel plant employees are wise enough to read Pawan’s intentions of politicising the issue to corner YS Jagan.
