The Indian National Congress (INC) is facing a severe identity crisis and in order to revive the party, popular political strategist Prashant Kishor is holding talks with the interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi and key leaders. But the twist in the tale is here with PK willing to work with Congress in Delhi but in Telangana, he has a commitment with KCR led TRS party.
This act by PK is causing severe distress to Telangana Congress but it’s not going to be an easy ride for Prashant Kishor too. For TRS, it might not have any objection working with Congress but in Telangana, he wants the TRS to register a hat-trick win in the Assembly elections and accordingly he is working on various strategies.
KCR wants to bulldoze both BJP and Congress in Telangana while both the parties are equally working to dethrone KCR from the CM chair. Primarily T-Congress wants to defeat KCR against all odds, thus it suggests that TRS and Congress are true political enemies. If PK joins the Congress at the national level and starts serving, it will have an impact on the Congress leaders in Telangana.
For PK, working for the Congress at the national level is not as easy as working for the TRS in Telangana. Looking at the developments, it seems that PK wants to travel in two boats simultaneously. This is where the trouble for Telangana Congress leaders is about to begin.
T-Congress leaders will lose their freedom to criticise KCR and TRS government. At national level, PK is trying to push KCR into Congress’s front and if he succeeds, then T-Congress leaders will have no other option rather than to play a spectator role.
Though this all seems like a small problem at the top but if you go into the depths it is a very big problem. Given the developments, the chances of Congress leaders waging an agitation against KCR are dwindling. We need to see how the leaders can overcome these obstacles that are too complicated to unfold. Overall its double-trouble for T-Congress leaders.
