At the TRS party plenary meeting in April, TRS chief KCR disclosed that the party has Rs 451 crore in the form of fixed deposits and the total funds the party owns is nearly Rs 861 crore. Now the party has bagged a whopping Rs 150 crore worth land in Hyderabad’s posh locale.
The revenue department of Telangana on Wednesday allotted 4935 square yards of land to TRS party’s Hyderabad district office. This land is located in NBT Nagar, road number 12 Banjara Hills. According to the current market value, the land could cost somewhere between Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore and that’s huge.
A G.O. regarding the land allotment was served to the Hyderabad District Collector to inspect the land and take necessary steps. This G.O. has turned controversial and criticism is pouring down from every corner.
Surprisingly TRS party’s headquarters are located in the same location and it’s a swanky palace. The current allotment of land is just half kilometre away and oppositions slammed the TRS government for blatant misuse of power.
BSP leader RS Praveen Kumar came down heavily on the TRS government and CM KCR. “When the party has Rs 1000 crore assets, can’t it afford to buy a piece of land from its own funds. What has the TRS government done to the society of Telangana that they grabbed such an expensive land,” questioned Praveen Kumar.
Indeed the land is of huge value and moreover TRS doesn’t need a separate party office for Hyderabad district as it can accommodate in the grand TRS Bhavan.
