The BJP national leadership and T-BJP are keen to topple CM KCR led TRS government in Telangana in the next elections. While giving all the support for strengthening the party in Telangana, the national leadership is also in plans to give opportunities to the noteworthy leaders.
Accordingly the BJP is considering sending Vijayashanthi and a few more leaders to Rajya Sabha. It’s been just one and half years that Vijayashanthi returned to the saffron fold and she is continuously targeting KCR whenever she gets an opportunity. BJP believes that Vijayashanthi can seriously make an impact in the next polls and in order to give her a push in the party, a berth in Rajya Sabha would be a perfect compensation.
Simultaneously BJP is also eyeing one important person and he is My Home Groups chairman Jupalli Rameshwara Rao. Buzz is that all is not well between KCR and Jupalli and it all started with the inauguration of ‘Statue of Unity’ by PM Modi. The T-BJP is reportedly pursading Jupalli to join BJP with an assurance of Rajya Sabha seat but from Jupalli’s side, there was no response yet. But BJP is confident that Jupalli would certainly join the party.
If Vijayashanthi and Jupalli can make the cut in the final list of Rajya Sabha nominees, this would be a good move for T-BJP and they can take full advantage to become stronger in Telangana.
Muralidhar Rao and Garikapati Mohan Rao are other Telugu politicians whose names are being looked upon by the BJP for the Upper House.
