After successfully concluding two-day national executive meeting of the BJP in Hyderabad, the party has decided to intensify its ‘Operation Akarsh’ programme in Telangana. Currently, Indrasena Reddy is acting as the Chairman of ‘Joining & Coordination Committee’, the committee that is aimed at ‘poaching’ leaders from other political parties in order to strengthen the BJP.
Indrasena Reddy has reportedly asked the party leadership to relieve him from this post. Now, BJP is mulling to hand over this crucial responsibility to former TRS minister and senior leader Etela Rajendar. As the general election is fast approaching, BJP wants to join as many as possible into its fold.
Buzz is that Etela would be made the chairman of the ‘Joining & Coordination Committee’ and former MP Vivek Venkataswamy as the vice chairman of the committee. Interestingly, both these leaders had quit TRS and had joined the BJP. Vivek is an industrialist and also the owner of V6 news channel.
BJP Telangana state chief Bandi Sanjay is going to convene a meeting with state office bearers, district presidents and constituency incharges on Tuesday during which some crucial decisions would be taken. This meeting is also going to review the ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ conducted in the 119 constituencies.
The meeting will also discuss the future plan of action of the party in the state and the upcoming ‘Parliament Pravas Yojana’, the response received to BJP programs and the roadmap ahead for the party in the 2024 polls.
