AP tourism minister Roja is being chased by a rebel group in her Assembly constituency, Nagari ever since she was elected for the first time. In the last three years many incidents between Roja and the rebel group have hit the headlines. The rebel group tried to portray Roja in a bad picture before AP CM Jagan but their attempts did not work as Jagan made her minister in April this year.
On Monday, the rebel group yet again brought headache for Roja. Going into details, this rebel group laid the foundation stone for Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) in Nagari in the absence of Roja. This ceremony was attended by Srisailam Devasthanam chairman Chakrapani Reddy and Ediga Corporation chairman K Shanti Kumar.
Roja was seriously disappointed that the rebel group went ahead with RBK’s Bhoomi Puja without her. She called up her supporters in Nagari and expressed her anguish. A voice clip of Roja is out in the media circles and she said, “I’m working tirelessly for the party and government. When our sacrifices and efforts are not valued, there is absolutely no point in staying in politics with this kind of mental tension every other day,” said Roja.
The YCP minister alleged that the rebel group is working with TDP and Jana Sena in Nagari and are bringing a bad name to the ruling party in the constituency. “It’s high time the YCP cadre in Nagari thinks of this rebel group and decide whom they should support,” added Roja.
Roja faced revolt a day after she lashed out at Pawan Kalyan fans and Jana Sena supporters in a press meet. Reacting to the Vizag airport incident, Roja used harsh language against PK fans and went on to criticise Pawan too in her usual style. Think Roja should better focus on her constituency, Nagari and try to fix the damaged equations with the rebel group rather than frequently aiming at the opposition. If she doesn’t fix things with rebels, she will have a tough time in 2024. There are already reports that she might not get a ticket and if this continues, things may turn out that way.
