The Income Tax sleuths have conducted raids at Telangana minister and educationalist Mallareddy’s properties. The raids are being done at the residences of Mallareddy’s son and son-in-law. Since early morning, the Income Tax officials have shortlisted various celebrities in the city and conducted raids. The IT officials have divided into 50 teams and are doing this search operations.
As part of the raids, the IT officials are conducting a search at Mallareddy’s son Mahender Reddy’s villa in Palm Meadows, Kompally. The residence and officers are all under the search operations. Even Mallareddy’s educational institutions and colleges are not spared in this search.
Recently, the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at minister Gangula Kamalakar Reddy and his family’s properties when the family was out of town for vacation. After this, the ED conducted similar raids at TRS Rajya Sabha MP Gayatri Ravi. The ED raids were part of the probe in granite trade in Telangana and alleged irregularities. ED was probing money laundering in the granite trade.
Of late, the central investigation agencies have targeted the TRS leaders in specific. While TRS allege that this is political vendetta by BJP, BJP leaders shot back at the TRS leader’s corrupt practices and irregularities in businesses.
