Convert RBKs into classrooms: HC to Jagan govt

The Andhra Pradesh High Court directed the AP government to submit all the Rythu Bharosa Kendra (centres) to the education department. Going into details, many RBKs across the state were constructed near government schools or in its premises.

Objecting to this a petition was filed in the AP High Court. Advocate Lakshmi Narayana informed the court that due to RBKs, the atmosphere at school is getting disturbed. The court, after thorough arguments, directed the state government to submit all the RBKs to the education department.

“Since the government lacks better classrooms for many schools, if the RBKs are returned, that would be helpful. It is unfortunate that the AP government has spent Rs 40 crore of taxpayers money on the construction of RBKs. The process of return should not disturb the atmosphere of school,” added the High Court.

This case has been further postponed to January 20th. The High Court is expected to seek an update from the state government on the progress of returning RBKs to the education department.

RBK is one of the flagship schemes of AP CM Jagna. It is a one stop platform for farmers and it’s main motive is to resolve and take farming products to the forefront of the farmers. There are nearly 10,778 RBKs in AP but some of them are located at government run schools.
