TDP chief and former CM Chandrababu Naidu has a habit of boasting of his past achievements. No doubt, Naidu has a rich legacy behind and is often remembered for his administration. But he often talks so highly of his previous works and thus ends up in getting trolled by his political opponents.
Babu is revered as political Chanakya by stitching alliances and strategies. But he is also known for his publicity-hunger. He should understand that others should speak about work instead of ourselves.
Also, the past is over. What he had done in Hyderabad is in public domain and people need not be remembered this often. They are more interested to know about the future plans. What Naidu would do for Andhra Pradesh and how he would bail out the state from the financial crisis is the need of the hour.
While YS Jagan is accused of pushing the state into neck-deep debts, there is no denying that even Naidu had taken higher debts when he was in power during 2014 to 2019. Jagan, however, surpassed Naidu in debts and even delaying the disbursal of salaries, pensions to the government employees which is scary.
With the 2024 general elections just a year away from now, all the political parties in AP are gearing up for preparations. In this backdrop, Naidu must focus on a promising future by bringing investments and employment to jobless, and opportunities to businesses and et al.
