India Today has a good reputation as a media organization that conducts in-depth surveys and studies on contemporary politics and political situations in the country. India Today has been studying together with C-Voter for several years and analyzing national and state politics.
Freshly a survey was conducted to find out who are the most popular Chief Ministers in the states across the country. The opinion of the survey is out and it has an interesting observation to take note of. According to this survey report, Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s name is missing in the list of top 10 popular Chief Ministers.
In the survey conducted at the beginning of last year, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took the place of the best Chief Minister, while Arvind Kejriwal took the second place. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was ranked as the best Chief Minister in the survey conducted last year. It is noteworthy that Yogi, who was in first place before that, dropped to seventh position.
And in the latest survey, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik retained his top position with 73.2 percent backing from his state’s people while Delhi CM Kejriwal yet again came second. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswasharma stood third.
AP CM YS Jagan secured 10th position with 39.7 ratings and his counterpart i.e, Telangana CM KCR who converted his TRS into BRS with national politics ambitions, did not find a place in top ten. This survey reveals that KCR’s image has slipped and that may work against the party in the elections which are due in December.
KCR should focus on his state before going national, is what political observers opine.
