In a recent development, the Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed the quash petition filed by Chandrababu Naidu’s legal team in relation to the AP Skill Development case. The court rejected the arguments presented by Naidu’s lawyers, asserting that the arrest under Section 17A was valid and appropriate.
The High Court sided with the arguments put forth by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), stating that the arrest and subsequent remand were conducted correctly and that the case should proceed with the investigation.
Despite this setback, Naidu’s legal team plans to escalate the matter by approaching the Supreme Court and filing a bail petition in the High Court.
In a parallel legal process, the ACB court is set to announce its decision on Chandrababu Naidu’s custody petition at 2:30 PM, considering the High Court’s dismissal of the quash petition. It is anticipated that the ACB court might grant two days of police custody for Naidu.
