For the first time, YS Jagan spoke elaborately about Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest in the Skill Development fraud case. CM Jagan spoke at the YCP representatives meeting and came down heavily on Chandrababu Naidu and ruled out holding any grudge against the former CM.
YS Jagan said the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu was not an act of political vendetta. The CM rules out holding a grudge or revenge politics against Chandrababu. Jagan further says that he was not even in the country and was in London when police arrested Chandrababu Naidu.
Jagan questions all of it was an act of political rivalry, asking, ‘When BJP is ruling in the center and ‘Datta Puthrudu’ still claims to be with BJP and half of BJP state leaders are TDP people, why would Chandrababu be arrested? Stating that it is ED, IT, and CBI who proved Chandrababu’s corruption, which led to his arrest, Jagan denies being involved in any of it.
Further denouncing Chandrababu, Jagan said, ‘There is no big difference if Chandrababu is in public or in jail because he lacks credibility and his presence in public only reminds of dishonesty, backstabbing, lies and betrayal.’
YS Jagan recalled how PM Modi made corruption allegations against Chandrababu and when Jagan was in opposition. Jagan criticized Chandrababu in the same context saying that the TDP chief withdrew permissions to CBI, ED, and IT into the state when he was CM because the center knows about his corruption.
While Jagan makes strong allegations and makes statements against Chandrababu’s arrest, it has to be seen how the opposition and Pawan Kalyan would want to respond on it.
