Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s mouthpiece and minister Gudivada Amarnath termed Jana Sena political affairs in-charge Nadendla Manohar as Chinna Kattappa. While his father Nadendla Bhaskar Rao is Pedda Kattappa who backstabbed TDP founder and former CM N.T. Rama Rao, Manohar could repeat the same with Jana Sena president and actor Pawan Kalyan.
This retort comes in response to Manohar’s allegations that the YCP government had resorted to corruption even in the distribution of bags and shoes to pupils in government schools. The minister said that the opposition parties were unnecessarily casting aspersions on the ruling YCP unable to digest the industrial revolution brought about in the last four years. The Opposition leaders are leveling allegations that the AP government is distributing land to a specific company free of cost, under the Industrial Land Alignment, and misleading the public, he said.
The minister said that it is the foolishness of Manohar to think that the public would believe in his words even when he was slinging mud reading out the script forwarded by the TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu.
At the same time, Amarnath also hit out at Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP boss did not complete 70 per cent of construction works relating to Polavaram project, he swindled 70 per cent funds. The minister also tried to clarify that the Centre was just distributing the taxes earned from the state and sent to the Union government. The Centre is not sanctioning funds from its pocket, he said.
Gudivada also said that Andhra Pradesh remained on the top in the entire country with a GSDP growth rate of 11.43 for the year 2022-23. Similarly, the growth rate has also gone up to 8%. These figures were not generated by the state government but given by the RBI, he clarified.
The TDP activists took exception to Amarnath’s statement over Kattappa and said that the minister has lost his mental balance. On one hand, the YCP says Naidu backstabbed his father-in-law and now, they have a new figure and a new story, they said.
