One of the most important political meetings in Andhra Pradesh’s contemporary political affairs is happening in Delhi today as TDP head Chandrababu is sitting down for a meeting with Amit Shah this evening. This meeting is to possibly expedite the imminent alliance between Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP.
But the Andhra Pradesh BJP wing doesn’t have a clue about this unarguably significant meeting, as can be understood from Daggubati Purandeswari’s media briefing. She said the AP BJP wing has no idea why Chandrababu is in Delhi today.
The BJP central high command will decide whom we should ally with. I came to know about Chandrababu’s trip to Delhi only through media reports. The central leadership will decide our allies and we are here to implement their orders, Purandeswari remarked in front of the media.
AP BJP chief saying she has no clue about a supremely important meeting in relation to BJP’s alliance in Andhra Pradesh is amusing political followers.
But on the other side, Telugu media is already busy running stories about the seat-sharing aspect once the TDP, Janasena, and BJP alliance is finalized. The majority of the reports say that the BJP could be given a lesser share in the MLA seats and a bigger share in the MP seats. BJP won 0 MLA/MP seats in AP in 2019 so whatever they gain in 2024 in alliance with TDP and Janasena can be considered a fruit of the alliance.
