Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan is facing the most important electoral battle as he announced his candidature from the Pithapuram assembly constituency. Shortly after Pawan made this announcement, Jagan deployed his trusted MP Mithun Reddy with the job of defeating Pawan here.
But Pawan Kalyan is more educated and well-prepared for his campaign this term. Unlike the 2019 campaign in Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka, where Pawan was projected as an outsider by the voters, the JSP president has altered his plan of action in Pithapuram.
Pawan is set to make Pithapuram his place of operation as he has rented a building in Chebrolu which will be used as his office and also his residence. Pawan will reportedly use this house for his political operations after the housewarming ceremony which is scheduled to take place this Ugadi festival day.
In Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka, the YSRCP candidates successfully spin a campaign that Pawan is an outsider which gradually worked against the JSP leader. Pawan himself said Bhimavaram’s Grandhi Srinivas didn’t even let him buy a piece of land in the constituency back in 2019.
But Pawan acted more thoughtfully in Pihapuram this time as he had gotten ahold of a building that would serve as the center of his operations. This could add the local touch to Pawan’s campaign in Pithapuram which could potentially be a deciding factor.
