All Burden On Naidu’s Shoulders

The TDP, BJP and JSP have formed an alliance to trump the YCP in Andhra Pradesh. Of the three parties, TDP is the only one entity appearing to be pro-active when compared to the other two parties. Apparently, the TDP is bearing the entire burden of the tripartite alliance.

While the BJP leadership has taken the upcoming elections light, the JSP is confined to only those constituencies where the party candidates were fielded.

But, the TDP cadre is active in every nook and corner. Both TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son N. Lokesh are busy holding public meetings and road shows to keep the election fever high and electorate informed about the ‘YCP misrule’, say TDP cadre and this argument can’t be ruled out. Despite being a septuagenarian, Naidu seems to be lone warrior of the alliance.

As part of the TDP-BJP-JSP alliance, seat sharing and allocation of constituencies has been completed but the electorate is witnessing only Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh on the roads.

JSP president and actor Pawan Kalyan is down with fever during his electioneering in Pithapuram and he had to stall the programme. Pawan is likely to resume campaigning from Sunday, April 7, 2024.

At the same time, one cannot make a blanket statement that the JSP is not cooperating with the TDP. In some areas, the Jana Sainiks are collaborating with the Telugu Tamullu in the campaigning. However, the BJP is completely silent and the TDP cadre is sore over this attitude.

The BJP had blocked six MP seats and 10 MLA seats but without any field work, would the national party be able to emerge victorious? When the three parties have joined hands with an aim to defeat the ruling YCP, the BJP should feel the responsibility to strive towards accomplishing the endeavor.
