Political lines must never cross the point where they reach personal boundaries. In the Telugu states, this balance was very well established in the YSR-CBN era. The two of them were friends themselves and continued this camaraderie despite political differences.
Same happened with YSR and Ramoji Rao as well. Despite their ideological differences, the two of them had mutual respect. In fact, Ramoji Rao even attended the final rites of YSR out of respect.
Ramoji rarely steps out for public events but he crossed this boundary and paid final respects to YSR out of sheer respect. He expressed condolences to the family in that hour of crisis.
Now that the wise old man, Ramoji himself has passed away, there is curiosity on whether or not Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila would be attending the final rites of Ramoji Rao.
Jagan government in AP actively pursued the Margadarsi case and even sent CID officials to Ramoji’s house. Now, after all that, would he be ready to attend the final rites of Ramoji Rao.
Same with Sharmila, though she hadn’t had any clash with Ramoji, she hasn’t yet become active in AP politics so we should see if she would make the time to attend the final rites of Ramoji Rao, at least out of courtesy that Ramoji attended YSR’s final rites.
