Lokesh Saves Indian Cricketer From YCP Harassment

Over the last few years, all is not well with the Andhra Cricket Association due to the alleged involvement of the AP government with the cricketing activities. One of the victims of this interference has been Hanuma Vihari who even played for the Indian cricket team and was a part of the squad that historically won the test series against Australia in Australia.

Vihari had recently moved out of the Andhra cricket team after a player in the team who is allegedly related to YCP harassed him by making false allegations about his on-field behavior. It was identified that Vihari was tormented by YCP leadership to the extent that he had to leave the ACA.

But now that YCP has been uprooted and the TDP+ alliance has formed the government, Vihari has found a stable solution to his problem in just 3 weeks. Interestingly, Nara Lokesh took up the case on priority and delivered justice to Vihari.

Lokesh stated “Delighted to meet Indian cricketer Vihari today. How he was subjected to political bullying, humiliated, and driven out of Andhra Cricket by the earlier Govt was shameful. I have invited him back to Andhra Pradesh and asked him to strive to make Telugus proud once again. He will have our full support.”

The chances are that Vihari could return to Andhra cricket team in the Ranjis this season. While it was sad to see a native Telugu player leave Andhra Pradesh team due to political interference, it is good to see Lokesh take swift action on this and get things sorted.
