Tirumala VIP break darshan scam?

As ruling party now digging into the irregularities done by previous YCP government. As per the findings, the YCP leaders exploited every sector for their vested interests. Even the darshan of Lord Balaji in Tirumala has not been left untouched. The vigilance wing found that senior YCP leaders were involved in the VIP Break Darshan scam.

Pilgrims consider Lord Venkateswara’s darshan sacred and withstand all the inconvenience and agony in the serpentine queues to catch a glimpse of the Almighty seeking blessings.

It is learnt that the YCP leaders issued recommendation letters profusely to their followers and supporters, which in turn distanced the common pilgrims from the presiding deity at Tirumala.

The vigilance wing found that former ministers Roja and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, both belonging to Chittoor district and TTD Board member and former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, issued recommendation letters to pilgrims, crossing their quota limits.

Local TDP And Janasena leaders alleged that Roja took numerous devotees along with her and had the darshan of the Lord, purchasing only one ticket for her. In the recent probe by the vigilance wing, it was found that she issued recommendation letters to hundreds of devotees, facilitating Break Darshan.

Former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy too was found to have sent nearly 54 devotees at one go in the VIP Break Darshan slot.

The officials probing the matter even shared as letter written by Peddireddy to the authorities seeking permission for darshan by the 54 pilgrims, on the social media.

In addition to the Break Darshan scam, the TTD vigilance wing also launched probe into the Sri Vani Trust ticket scam.

This proves that the YCP leaders transformed Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala into a politically-affiliated deity and used him for their own benefits and pleasure says one other political analyst from Chittor.
