AP Ration Rice Smuggled to Africa During Jagan’s Rule?

While the controversial liquor and sand policies of the former YSR Congress government have already been scrutinized, a new revelation has surfaced. Andhra Pradesh’s new Civil Supplies Minister, Nadendla Manohar, has disclosed to the media that the YCP government had organized a cartel to sell AP’s ration rice in Africa.

The JSP veteran participated in an inspection at the Kakinada port today and uncovered a staggering 5300 metric tonnes of AP’s ration rice being illicitly smuggled to Africa.

Manohar disclosed that the Dwarampudi family had formed a cartel to misappropriate rice belonging to the AP government, smuggling it to Africa for sale at inflated prices. This has deprived the people of AP, who should have benefited from the rice supply program, while enriching the Dwarampudi family and the previous YCP government.

The minister revealed that the entire operation has been exposed, and every detail regarding this rice smuggling operation will be thoroughly investigated. He emphasized that the new government will appoint only honest and dedicated officers to oversee the civil supplies mechanism to eliminate corruption.

The revelation by the Civil Supplies Minister that the YSR Congress government allegedly smuggled ration rice for profit is shocking. Social media users have expressed concerns that if such corruption was involved in a relatively obscure rice smuggling operation, the implications for even more contentious policies like liquor distribution are worrisome.
