TDP Alleges Jagan Set 5 Demands to Enter Assembly

Pulivendula MLA Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was the leader of the house between 2019-2024, will no longer have an active presence in the house going forward, as he has decided to indirectly boycott the assembly sessions. In light of the budget session in the assembly today, he has chosen not to partake.

Incidentally, a TDP spokesperson has now shared a report on social media listing the five demands that Jagan allegedly placed before the government in exchange for his participation in the assembly.

According to the spokesperson, Jagan’s demands are as follows:

  1. A protocol on par with the Chief Minister.
  2. Z+ category security and traffic clearance along his entire route.
  3. Additional bulletproof cars, with the costs to be borne by the government.
  4. Recognition of the YCP as the opposition party, and the allocation of three rope parties for his security as opposition leader.
  5. The government to bear the allowances and travel costs of his OSD, secretary, and related staff members.

Jagan reportedly stated that he would be willing to attend the assembly if these conditions are met.

However, this report has been put forth by the TDP, and it remains to be seen whether these are indeed Jagan’s demands. It will be interesting to observe how the YCP responds to this allegation.
