AP FiberNet chairman GV Reddy said that the authorities were planning to terminate the services of 410 employees from the Corporation. They are unqualified and do not have appointment letters, he said. These irregularities occurred during the YCP rule.
He alleged that the YCP government appointed several unqualified people in the Corporation, even when there was no requirement.
Speaking to mediapersons, GV Reddy said that the termination is not an act of vengeance and that there is no ulterior motive behind the removal of employees from service.
“It is a part of purging the organization. All the 410 employees were recruited following orders from the YSRC leaders.”
A majority of these employees were working in the residences of YCP ministers, MLAs and others leaders as drivers and maid servants. They were being paid by the government but they were performing jobs at the YCP leaders’ houses.
Crores of rupees have been misused from Fibernet for making payments to these unqualified staff.
The Fibernet is in doldrums and to save the organization, cleansing measures have to be initiated, he said.
Notices have been served to all the 410 employees, Reddy added.
