Tirupati Tragedy: Chandrababu Furious, Coming To TPT

An extremely unfortunate incident happened in the holy Temple town of Tirupati last night. A huge stampede happened outside the Tirumala Vaikuntam Dwara Darshan ticket counter, which claimed the lives of 6 people. Reportedly, 40 others were left injured in this incident.

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu is expectedly furious with the authorities for what had happened as he strongly sympathised with the families of the victims.

Expressing extreme sorrow over the loss of lives due to the stampede situation, CM Chandrababu expressed dissatisfaction over the failure of precautionary measures. He questioned the authorities why weren’t adequate arrangements made, knowing a large number of devotees would attend?

“Isn’t it crucial to ensure utmost vigilance and responsibility in managing such sensitive situations?” Babu asked the TTD management and local authorities.

Babu has been constantly in touch with the authorities and assessing the situation in Tirupati as huge queues are in place for the Vaikunta Dwara Darsh tickets. He is assessing the situation real time and also concerned about the victims.

Babu will be arriving in Tirupati today, Thursday and meet the families. He will get a detailed report on the arrangements in place and then instruct the concerned authorities about what’s to be done with regard to the queue system.

This is by far one of the worst mismanagements tag happened in the holy shrine of Tirumala and certain measures are bound to be taken to eliminate such incidents in the future.
