AP @ Davos: After Google And TCS, It’s Cognizant?

The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken a very proactive approach when it comes to attracting investments to the state, and the same can be understood if we look at the activity of the delegation that is currently in Davos.

Last night, AP CM Chandrababu met Bill Gates to discuss potential AI projects in Andhra Pradesh, and today, Lokesh had a significant meeting with the CEO of global giant Cognizant.

Earlier in the day today, Lokesh met with the CEO of Cognizant, Ravi Kumar, and he described the meeting as “terrific”. Lokesh stated that Ravi Kumar was a delightful man to interact with and implied that the meeting was a very fruitful one.

Then came the big statement from Lokesh as he stated “GOOD NEWS COMING SOON! STAY TUNED!! #InvestInAP”. He looked fairly confident about pulling up a significant investment to the state through Cognizant.

Lokesh had already successfully orchestrated investment plans with global giants, like Google and TCS in Andhra Pradesh. Both these projects are in early stages of development and they are projected to largely enhance the global image of AP as a state.

Now this significant meeting with the CEO of Cognizant could play a crucial role in further enhancing the investment-friendly approach of the state. The Lokesh did not reveal the nature of the investment. It could perhaps be assumed that the tech giant will set up one of its flagship offices in Amaravati or Vizag. Going by Lokesh’s words, the good news could be coming out very soon. This could go down as a significant stone in the development index of AP’s investment scene.
