TD supremo and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu apparently shrugged off political significance of senior YCP MP V. Vijayasai Reddy’s retirement from politics or his resignation to the YCP terming it ‘party’s internal affair’ but APCC chief Y.S. Sharmila Reddy tried to interpret something significant about her brother and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy from the resignation.
She took the occasion to vent her hatred against her brother yet again.
Sharmila said that YCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy was losing the credibility of his near and dear. Vijayasai Reddy is a close confidant of Jagan. Sai Reddy never shirks from doing whatever Jagan orders him to do. Sai Reddy abuses and lambasts politicians at the behest of Jagan.
Taking a snipe at Sai Reddy, she said that he had worked against the principles and goals of her father and former CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy even after knowing pretty well that the YCP’s policies oppose YSR goals.
Sai Reddy is a staunch loyalist of Jagan and he is known for his blatant lies. He told lies about not only political issues, but even against my children. She blamed Jagan for Sai Reddy’s lies.
Sharmila said that there was something deep problem beyond comprehension about Jagan which needs to be understood, as his well-wishers and loyalists are gradually distancing themselves away from him. Jagan lost his credibility as a leader of the masses. He betrayed those who elected him. Jagan is failing both at the personal front and in politics, Sharmila said.
When asked if Sai Reddy quitting the YCP is a conspiracy by the BJP, she said Jagan Mohan Reddy is the foster son of BJP.
Jagan shielded himself from the numerous CBI cases keeping Sai Reddy beside him in the YCP and there is no need for him to send Sai Reddy to the BJP, she pointed out.
Sharmila wanted Sai Reddy to speak the truth on various issues to which he had been a witness, as he had quit the YCP now.
It will be good if he can speak facts at least now, just as he spoke truth in connection with Viveka Reddy’s murder, earlier in the day.”
Sai Reddy said that YCP MP YS Avinash Reddy told him that his uncle and former minister Viveka Reddy died of heart attack and that he revealed the same to the media.
