For many years now, Vijay Sai Reddy has been one of the most trusted associates of the YS family. He has the rich heritage of having worked with YS Raja Reddy, then YS Rajasekhar Reddy and then with YS Jagan. But after all these years, he decided to leave Jagan and retire from politics, which is closely followed by YCP’s downfall in the 2024 election.
On this matter, Jagan Mohan Reddy said Sai Reddy must have shown character and credibility to stand by his leader through tough times. In response, Sai Reddy said he has enough character Reddy and does not need any lessons on this front.
While this issue appeared to be blowing out of proportion, something very indicative of this has happened now. Kethireddy Venkat Rami Reddy, who is becoming increasingly active for YSR Congress on the media front has indirectly targeted Sai Reddy.
“Everyone knows who has character and credibility. Only because of the character of that man, did a common auditor go on to become a leading politician and enjoyed high ranks in the party. But speaking ill of the same man after leaving the party shows your character. We know who is behind you in the attempt to defame the YS family.” Kethireddy tweeted. He did not necessarily name Sai Reddy. In this tweet, we can easily connect the dots.
But what must be noted here is that Sai Reddy had clearly mentioned that he intimated Jagan before his resignation and implied that they are both on good terms. The very next day, after his resignation, he even shared a tweet that he wants to see Jagan CM in 2029.
But out of the blue things are starting to fall out between YSR Congress and Sai Reddy. After Jagan himself commented on the former YCP Raja Sabha MP, now it is the turn of firebrand Kethireddy who indirectly mocked Sai Reddy.
It must be noted that Sai Reddy was with Jagan and YSR Congress much before Venkatarami. Reddy was even a part of the party. So Jagan staying calm and silent, when Venkatarami Reddy, indirectly target, Sai Reddy could very well mean that things have certainly fallen apart between him and his former associate.
But this is not as simple as it looks because Sai Reddy is the accused number two in all the cases regarding the disproportion at assets of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Any sort of rivalry with Sai Reddy can have multiple repercussions on Jagan legally and politically. It must be seen how Jagan will deal with this situation.
