YSR Congress, president and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan is back in Andhra Pradesh now. He addressed his party supporters and leaders from Guntur region today and he had an elaborate measure of events there.
Interestingly, Jagan knowledge that he could not necessarily stand by his party cadres in his first tenure as the chief minister. However, he cited a vague reason for this which didn’t sound convincing enough.
“We had to deal with the Covid situation for a couple of years and its aftereffects lasted another couple of years. We had to drive administration in these tough times. This is the reason why I couldn’t stand by my party cadres. But in Jagan 2.0 tenure, I assure my cadres that I will be by their side.” Jagan said. However, the citation if Covid as a reason for deserting cadres didn’t go well as they can’t be correlated.
However, at the same time, Jagan said he will not spare Chandrababu and his cadres the next time he becomes the CM. “Evvarni vadilipettam” he said.
The message delivered by the public in 2024 was very clear that they are not happy with the vindictive and revenge politics established by Jagan. This was the reason why his party got dissipated to 11 seats.
But again, Jagan is back to threatening Chandrababu and his party supporters of serious consequences once he becomes the chief minister again. By the looks of Jagan appears to have understood that his vindictive politics and negligence towards cadre are principal reasons behind his defeat.
But the issue here is that he is not coming up with the right game plan to address this situation. On one hand, he is making vague excuses to cadres and on the other, he is warning Chandrababu of consequences. In fact, YCP got a deadly blow after arresting Babu before 2024 election. But it looks like Jagan didn’t comprehend this aftereffect fully till now.
