Global fast food giant McDonald’s is one of the leading food outlets across the globe. They have a substantial footprint in India as well and more relevantly, they have 38 stores in Telangana.
Coming to the topic now, McDonald’s is all set to establish its first ever global headquarters, and they have strategically picked Hyderabad as the destination for the same. The related agreement was assigned with chief minister Revanth Reddy yesterday, and the materialisation could be happening very soon.
Revanth Reddy clinched a major deal with McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski, as this project will be bringing 2,000 jobs and boosting local agriculture.
The best thing about this major deal that was signed between McDonald’s, and the government of Telangana is that the local farmers will reportedly be supplying fresh produce to McDonald’s outlets.
This is going to be one of the biggest operations in terms of blending local agriculture with a multinational food processing unit like McDonald’s. This could prove to be largely beneficial for the farming community in Telangana.
Reportedly the global fast Food gent is contemplating the idea of expanding 3 to 4 new outlets every year in second and third tire towns in Telangana after setting up this global headquarters in Hyderabad.
Reportedly, there was substantial competition from Bengaluru to grab the attention of McDonald’s, but Hyderabad managed to zest ahead with better cost of living and talent pool.
