‘Modi Opened The Windows, KCR Opened The Doors’

The liquor fans have barged into the stores putting the physical distancing at bay when few states opened the other day after many weeks of lockdown. This garnered huge criticism for leading the stringent lockdown measures in all these weeks to nowhere and making no sense.

Telangana CM KCR also announced the lockdown relaxations on alcohol sale the other day and Telangana liquor stores too had seen long queues on day one. Though the physical distancing is observed at almost all places in Telangana, the movie left a section dissatisfied.

CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy came down heavily on Telangana CM KCR for giving green signals to liquor sales in orange and green zones. He called it a counterproductive move of letting the liquor sale open alleging that KCR is giving priorities to revenues but not the safety of people in the state.

The CPI leader named it the enormity of state government to release funds to relieve them from coronavirus calamity and take the same back from them with alcohol sale. Venkat Reddy pointed out KCR’s reluctance to hear on opposition’s constructive criticism.

Chada drew comparisons to Centre decision on relaxations from lockdown saying that Modi opened the windows after lockdown, and KCR wide-opened the doors. While the CPI leaders rained criticism on KCR, he also appreciated the CM’s move to release funds to waive off farmer loans for those who are indebted up to 25,000 rupees.
