A 50-year-old woman was brutally raped and murdered in Uttar Pradesh, yet again. The three accused men are a priest in the temple and his two disciples in western Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun district. They were arrested and a case has been registered against them.
The woman visits the temple nearby every Sunday evening and she did the same last Sunday too but did not return. Later in the night at 11:30 pm, the accused brought her in their own vehicle and reportedly said she fell in a dry well and got herself injured. She was dead when they left her at the door, according to the woman’s son.
The woman’s body was laid on a cot and a yellow sheet covering her lower body appears to be soaked in blood. Initial reports say that she had broken ribs and also one of her legs was broken.
Autopsy reports revealed the woman’s private parts are brutally injured with tears and one of her legs has a fracture. Excessive bleeding and shock due to that led to the patient’s death and she was raped, as per Dr. Yashpal Singh, the Chief Medical Officer in Budaun.
Local police were ordered a suspension for negligence in handling the case. One of the accused claimed in a video that the woman fell in a well near the place of worship and he along with two others rescued her out. He was seen saying she was alive when they dropped her home.
