YS Sharmila, daughter of former CM late YSR and sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has become the hot topic of discussion in the political circles after she announced of floating a political party in Telangana.
Further, she said that she would speak to YSR fans and loyalists district wise, take their opinions and views into consideration to chalk out the agenda and action plan of the party. However, she said that the main agenda of the party would be to set up ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ in Telangana.
She had already met YSR loyalists of Nalgonda on February 9, after announcing about her plans. Today (15th Feb) afternoon, she is scheduled to meet YSR fans of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts at her Lotus Pond residence. She had already reached Hyderabad from Bengaluru to attend the meeting. These meetings are aimed at eliciting their opinions and also know about people’s problems.
Initially, Sharmila planned to go to Khammam to meet YSR fans on February 21 but with the MLC election code under implementation there, the YSR fans themselves coming to Hyderabad in a rally and are planning to meet her at Lotus Pond.
They said that Sharmila’s tour to Khammam would be held once the MLC elections are complete. They also asserted that they would cooperate with Sharmila and strive for ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ in Telangana.
At present, the meetings with YSR loyalists are being held in Lotus Pond but there is a feeling that if she continues functioning from the same place it would send wrong signals about her association with Jagan.
The party leaders said that they are trying to identify a 2-acre land at Gachibowli or Madhapur to set up the office. However, Sharmila would continue to live in her Lotus Pond residence.
At the same time, Sharmila’s supporters said that the party’s name and flag would be revealed in next few days.
