With vaccination to people aged 45 years and above beginning from today as part of the third phase of the drive, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife Bharati were administered the jab in Guntur this morning.
Jagan visited the Sachivalayam at 140th ward, Bharatpet in Guntur and he took the vaccine under the supervision of the doctors there.
After getting the vaccine administered, the couple were kept under medical observation at the Sachivalayam for some time. The Chief Minister interacted with the doctors and staff at the Sachivalayam after the vaccination.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan stressed the need for taking the mass vaccination drive in a mission mode in Andhra Pradesh.
He said that vaccines will be administered at the secretariats and that the jab would be given based on the details provided by village/ward volunteers and ASHA workers.
