The Andhra Pradesh government has ordered for reopening of schools a day after the Independence Day i.e, from August 16th. AP CM YS Jagan has held a review meeting with Education minister Suresh and other officials regarding reopening of schools and the classes. In this very meeting, the government has decided to conduct online classes from July 12th.
A thorough discussion on reopening of schools was also done and after taking many views and opinions into consideration, Jagan government has decided to reopen schools from August 16th. In this meantime, the Jagan has ordered for completion of ‘Naadu-Nedu’ works in all schools across the state.
Probably AP might be the first state to announce reopening of schools post the second wave. Many states are yet to take a decision on physical presences of students but online classes have commenced in neighbouring states including Telangana.
However, experts believe that the Third Wave could hit the country next month i.e, August and amidst this, the AP government has announced reopening of schools. The government is still undecided on colleges and other institutes.
AP Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh has informed the media that government teachers would be given workbook training from July 15th to August 15th and would also be rolling out vaccination drive.
