World’s richest man and Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk who inked a deal to buy popular social media platform, Twitter for $44 billion, added a twist. Musk tweeted that the deal is put on hold temporarily.
Musk also revealed the reason behind this temporary hold and added that pending details support the calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5 percent of users. After coming to a deal with Twitter, Musk said that priorities would be to remove “spam bots” from the platform.
The other priorities of Musk are to focus on hardcore software engineering, design, infosec and server hardware. And Musk is one of the millions of users who want that edit button and he assured his followers that he would definitely get it done.
Post inking the deal, Musk also came up with random thoughts for Twitter and he posed questions, opinions from his followers. He also wanted to lift a ban on former US President Donald Trump who was abandoned by the platform for his controversial tweets during the US Presidential elections.
But Musk voiced for free speech with no restrictions and simultaneously privacy is top priority. Musk tweeted that Twitter DMs should have end to end encryption like Signal, so no one can spy on or hack your messages.
So the suspense on Twitter acquisition continues but Musk is optimistic that the hurdles will clear soon or later and bring all his thoughts into the platform and make it more fun for the users.
