Mohammad Asfan, a Hyderabad resident, tragically lost his life in the conflict in Ukraine after being lured by promises of employment in Russian government offices by agents who took ₹3 lakh each from him and two other youths.
The Indian embassy in Moscow confirmed his death on March 6, following his last communication with family on December 31, 2023. Asfan’s brother, Mohammed Imran, calls for the arrest of those responsible for his brother’s entrapment. The embassy assures efforts to repatriate his remains and highlights the dangers of illegal recruitment practices.
