Mukesh Khanna might need an introduction, but if we say Shaktimaan, then he does not need any introduction. The actor entertained in the early 2000s as Shaktimaan. Now, the film adaptation is happening on the superhero character. There are rumors about Ranveer Singh evincing interest in playing the role, but Mukesh Khanna, who holds the rights as a producer, rejects it by triggering a controversy.
In all interviews, Mukesh Khanna is arrogantly saying that no one other than him could do justice for the role. “I was having a conversation with Sony, and I told them I don’t need to be Shaktimaan; I am Shaktimaan,” he said.
“I believe the new Shaktimaan wouldn’t connect with kids like I do. I have been branding this character for 30 years. Everybody started believing that he (Ranveer) was playing the role, and Sony didn’t refute it. I thought something is cooking. I declared that I haven’t agreed to him playing Shaktimaan,” he said.
Mukesh went on to add that Ranveer does not have the right face to play Shaktimaan. “He is a good actor, but I am not convinced with his face and his appearance,” he said.
