US: Officials Investigating Trump In Jan 6 Riots, Fired

A dozen or more officials who had been working on criminal investigations into Donald Trump have been fired.

Reportedly, a letter from Acting Attorney General James McHenry to the officials said they could not be ‘trusted’ to faithfully implement Trump’s agenda. The Justice Department is firing the officials who worked on Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team prosecuting President Donald Trump.

Trump administration fired those who have been investigating the criminal cases against January 6 defendants.

Ed Martin, the interim US attorney in Washington had launched an investigation into prosecutors who brought obstruction charges against some rioters inthe January 6 US Capitol attacks.
