YSRCP’s rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju’s press meet this afternoon witnessed several direct attacks on his party’s Rajya Sabha MP and National Secretary Vijaya Sai Reddy and indirect counters to CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. RRR prominently raised concerns about the Rs 100 crore land scam that took place overnight in Vizag, where Vijaya Sai Reddy visited recently.
RRR told the media that he has been getting calls from worried NRIs in America who own lands in Vizag and surrounding areas. “It came to my notice that Rs 100 crore worth land in Vizag was illegally taken over by a person through power of attorney and registered it to our party’s MLA,” said the firebrand industrialist turned politician.
RRR further cautioned all the NRIs to protect their lands in Vizag by issuing a paper ad or installing a signboard and even erecting a compound wall and fencing. Not stopping there, RRR vowed to protect the NRIs’ properties and also said he will take the matter to “his” Chief Minister YS Jagan through a letter.
RRR indirectly alleged that Vijaya Sai Reddy had set up Pragathi Bharathi trust and collected Rs 100 crore in Vizag. “Nobody knows what happened to those 100 crores. So I request all the NRIs who own properties in Vizag to take this 100 crore episode as an example and save their properties,” said the MP.
RRR also ridiculed Vijaya Sai’s over enthusiastic claims that CM YS Jagan has entrusted him with the job of “overseeing the affairs” in Vizag. “What is he (Vijaya Sai)? The CM could have appointed the Collector for the job. But what we got is a Reddy Collector, a Reddy Joint Collector and a Reddy Urban Development Commissioner,” RRR alleged.
