Pushpa2 Chennai Event Is Entertaining, Engaging & A Bit Controversial

Pushpa: The Rise was a huge success in Tamilnadu. There’s a good amount of anticipation among the people from Tamilnadu for its sequel, Pushpa: The Rule. Keeping the buzz around the film in mind, AGS Entertainment, the Tamil version distribution company is getting ready to give the film a huge release (i.e. almost on-par release as a Tamil star hero) in the state. Plans are being made to screen 3500 shows on day one in 800 theatres across the state.

After the massive success of the promotional event in Patna last week, the makers of the film held an equally huge promotional event in Chennai today and just like the first event, the event in Chennai too became a massive success. The public turned out in huge numbers for both events but the Chennai event grabbed instant attention and became a talking point on social media with very engaging, entertaining and a bit controversial speeches from Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Sree Leela, Devi Sri Prasad and others from the team.

Sree Leela grabbed the attention by shaking her leg on stage for the ‘KISSIK’ from the film. Rashmika Mandanna with her cute expressions and emotional talk about Pushpa’s impact on her career and life, stole the show. She made many people turn on their thinking hats when she answered ‘Everyone Knows About it’ when the anchor asked if she would marry a person from the industry or an outsider.

A visibly disturbed and hurt Devi Sri Prasad took an indirect and direct dig at the producers of the film for replacing him with other music directors to score the background music for the film. ‘Be it the payment from the producers or the credit for our work for a film, we should ask and get it. Nobody will give us the credit we deserve if we don’t demand’. Devi Sri Prasad tried his best to have a smile on his face and tried sounding it like funny banter but the sadness and anger in his voice was out there for everyone to feel. Although everyone in the film’s team at the event, including Devi Sri Prasad had a smile or laugh on their faces while he was talking, it was very evident that all is not well between him and other core members of the team.

Allu Arjun entertained & engaged the crowd at the venue with his electrifying speech. He did not talk much at the Patna event, maybe because of the language barrier. But today at the event in Chennai, he was at his usual best. He made the Tamil people at the venue & those watching the event on television and other platforms emotional by saying ‘I would love to dedicate everything I achieve in my life and career to my roots in Chennai. And, I will always like to identify myself as a boy next door from T. Nagar, Chennai’. He made the crowd at the venue erupt by shaking his legs for the ‘Pushpa Pushpa’ song from the film at the end of his speech.

Both Patna and Chennai events ended up becoming massive success stories and took the hype around to film to the next level. Next up are the events in Kolkatta, Kochi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad in the coming days. Sukumar, the director of the film did not attend both events so far as he was busy with the post-production works of the film. Let’s hope he will try to make some free time and attend the remaining scheduled promotional events.
