Addressing his fans and party members at the ambitious Janavani protest meet in Tirupati earlier today, Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan made several sensational revelations on the 2009 and 2014 political scenarios in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Janasenani has said that he didn’t join politics to be a slave to TDP or YSRCP, but because he believed that the country and the state needed a strong third alternative.
“We had launched Praja Rajyam Party in 2009 with immense hope to change the sad state of politics in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. But PRP lost in 2009 due to some coverts. They are now ministers in the YSRCP government. Annayya Chiranjeevi couldn’t handle their dirty politics, and that’s why PRP couldn’t sustain for long. Situation would have been entirely different if PRP existed now. But I don’t fear anyone and I’ll strive hard until I bring a positive change. I don’t care if they even snatch away my property,” Pawan said.
“I had my reasons to support TDP’ in 2014. I had supported TDP only to oblige the request of the then prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The present political climate in Andhra Pradesh is too destructive and I am ready to join hands even with my enemies for the future of the state and our people. Like Thanos in Avengers, our Andhra Thanos (YS Jagan) is killing us all with his Nava Ratnalu schemes,” Pawan fumed.
Talking about the soon to be held by-election in Munugodu, Pawan said that Janasena will manage to get only a few votes if contested alone, and that there’s no use of such futile contest. “Let’s all aim high and show our strength in the next general elections,” said the actor-politician. Pawan also said that just like how the Telugu film industry doesn’t belong to the Mega family alone, there should be equality of power even in politics.
