BRS Leader Trash Talk On Tirumala: Will TTD Take Action?

The holy Tirumala shrine has been subject to intense political debate in recent months. After the highly controversial Laddu contamination episode, it was the ugly trend of politicians going to Tirumala to make political statements.

In an attempt to cut out the political angle from the holy Tirumala shrine, the newly appointed TTD board issued a new order recently. This new order banned people from making any political statements in Tirumala.

However, BRS leader and ex-minister, Srinivas Goud had no regard for this important order issued by TTD. He made a set of highly controversial comments in Tirumala today.

“Tirumala is a place of worship for the entire Hindu community. We the people of Telangana have been visiting the shrine for a long time, and it is a common tradition for us to take part in the head tonsure practice here. However, in the recent days, we are observing that there is partiality against Telangana, people, politicians, and businessmen. Telangana people are not being treated well in Tirumala.” The BRS leader said.

Srinivas Goud further added that CM Chandrababu Naidu is a season politician and it is his responsibility to ensure that the right balance is restored in Tirumala.

This public statement from the BRS leader goes directly against the regulation set by TTD, which bands people from speaking politics in Tirumala.

In fact, TTD Chairman BR Naidu recently communicated that strict and effective legal action will be taken against those who speak politics at the Tirumala shrine. Now, in view of Srinivas Goud’s controversial comments on Tirumala, it has to be seen if TTD will walk the talk and take legal action against the BRS leaders.

The Telugu populous on social media is now commenting against the BRS leaders for his provocative comments in Tirumala. “If he has an issue, he must write to the TTD chairperson or the CM himself. But it’s not right to comment on issues that could provoke regional instability at Tirumala. TTD must surely look into this matter,” a netizen commented.
