On Monday BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had announced the party candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections. A total of seven sitting MLAs have been denied tickets and a few of them are already on their way to exit the BRS. The rest are unable to figure out what to do next and a couple of them have decided to stick to the party irrespective of opportunities.
Among the snubbed, former deputy CM and current Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah found a place. On Tuesday Rajaiah was greeted by his supporters and he turned emotional on this occasion. Before addressing his supporters, Rajaiah broke into tears and wept uncontrollably.
“I was a doctor by profession but left it to join politics. Having acknowledged the significance of Telangana separate statehood, I quit Congress and joined TRS. Upon KCR’s call, I resigned my MLA post multiple times,” said Rajaiah.
However Rajaiah did not disclose his future political action plan. Apparently there are multiple reasons behind Rajaiah being denied a ticket. There were allegations against him that he harassed a woman and his equations with Kadiyam Srihari were not well received by the BRS leadership.
Having considered all these aspects, KCR decided to snub Rajaiah and this did hurt the sitting MLA.
