Chandrababu, who has been apprehended in connection with the Skill Development Scam case, appeared at the ACB court. In the courtroom, Chandrababu addressed the allegations against him in the Skill Development Scam case.
He contended that the establishment of the Skill Development Corporation had been a decision made by the Cabinet. He pointed out that skill development had also been included in the 2015-16 budget and had received approval from the state assembly.
Furthermore, Chandrababu asserted that he had no involvement in the skill scam and insinuated that his arrest was politically motivated.
Meanwhile, the CID (Criminal Investigation Department) has submitted a 15-day remand report to the Vijayawada ACB court through CID DSP Dhanunjayudu, outlining the key charges. According to the CID, a scam amounting to 371 crore rupees had taken place, and they sought judicial remand for Chandrababu to gather more information regarding the case.
The CID’s remand report, which spans approximately 28 pages, contains serious allegations against Chandrababu. They have labeled him as the mastermind behind the conspiracy and have implicated him alongside other accused individuals. The CID alleges that irregularities in the Skill Development Center in Tadepalli revolved around Chandrababu. Specifically, they claim that 371 crore rupees were disbursed as the government’s share for the Siemens project related to skill development.
These developments seem to signify a challenging situation for the ministers involved in the Skill Development Scam case.
