Telangana leaders poking fun and making severe criticism at Andhra Pradesh is not new. On earlier occasions too Harish Roa openly stated that investments in Hyderabad real-estate are pouring because of poor development in Andhra Pradesh.
In yet another such bitter satire, Harish Rao stated that Telangana will become another Amaravati if KCR is not re-elected to power. He stated that if BRS does not come to power for the third time, business will fall in Hyderabad too and it will become like Amaravati. Harish Rao’s comments have become a hot topic in AP and Telangana states.
Harish said that he knew that Hyderabad would become another Amaravati if KCR did not come. “Superstar Rajinikanth from the neighboring state Tamil Nadu saw and understood that Hyderabad was developed. Rajinikanth who came here wondered if we were in Hyderabad or in New York. But the opposition in the state did not see the development of the city.
But the Ghajinis here could not understand this”, Harish lashed out at the opposition.
However, Harish’s comments did not go well and reportedly hurt the sentiments of some sections and especially ruling YSRCP leaders are not happy. “What is the need of Telangana Minister Harish Rao to make comments against AP and Amaravati just to make his people understand that his state is better?” commented one.
Even an orator like Harish Rao could not make his people understand Hyderabad’s development without drawing comparisons with AP. Is it not clear that BRS could not do politics without invoking Telangana and Andhra sentiment? Harish’s words indicate that the Telangana politics are interlinked to AP politics. Instead of making politics around development, BRS is yet again drawing Telangana Vs Andhra sentiment for votes. Will this work once again? Let’s wait and watch.
