The Congress government is gearing up to deliver a comprehensive presentation on the debts accumulated during the ten-year tenure of the BRS government. Since assuming the role of Chief Minister, Revanth has diligently assessed the performance of various departments, with a particular focus on influential ones like the power department, finance department overseeing the Dharani portal, and industries.
During these evaluations, it was revealed that the power department carries a debt of Rs. 85 thousand crores, a matter that was not disclosed during KCR’s rule. Additionally, within four days of scrutiny, irregularities involving hundreds of acres were exposed in the Dharani portal, prompting an investigation into unlawful land transactions since the portal’s implementation.
The Revanth government is cognizant of such irregularities across multiple departments. Following these reviews, a decision was made to present a detailed report on the state’s debts and revenues through a power point presentation during the upcoming assembly meetings. Revanth, particularly focused on financial extravagance during KCR’s tenure.
Revanth has directed senior officials, under the guidance of Chief Secretary Shantikumari, to make necessary arrangements for the power point presentation scheduled to commence during the assembly meetings starting on the 14th of this month.
It is well-known that Revanth and his team have accused the previous administration, led by KCR, of corruption amounting to thousands of crores of rupees. These allegations are poised to be presented and explained in detail during the upcoming assembly sessions.
