YS Sharmila is the newly appointed president of Andhra Pradesh Congress and she has started to work on strengthening the party by inviting politicians from YCP to come back to Congress. Now, she has met with a member of her own family, the daughter of late YS Vivekananda Reddy, YS Sunitha.
Earlier today, Sunitha came to meet Sharmila at Idupulapaya and the two of them went together to offer prayers at the YSR Ghat. Reportedly, they had a lengthy discussion for about two hours before offering prayers at the YSR Ghat.
Amid media reports suggesting that Sunitha is looking to contest from one of the assembly constituencies in the Kadapa district on Congress’s behalf, this meeting with Sharmila is at the center of discussion in Kadapa political circles.
Notably, Sharmila had openly pledged support to Sunitha when she came out to fight against those suspected to be behind the alleged murder of Vivekananda Reddy. Sunitha is currently fighting against the bail petition of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy at the Supreme Court.
Today, Sunitha has scheduled a meeting with Sharmila roughly two months before AP goes for polls, giving rise to media speculations about her political entry.
