The Telugu states are heading for the election now with Telangana going for a general election while Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the general and assembly elections simultaneously. But considering the gravity of the Andhra Pradesh polls, the larger part of the Telugu community’s interest lies with the AP polls result.
This time, Telangana-based MLA, Maganti Gopinath(BRS MLA from Jubilee Hills) has delivered his prediction on the Andhra Pradesh polls, and here is what he said.
The Jubilee Hills MLA clearly affirmed that YS Jagan will become the CM of AP again in 2024 and he says Chandrababu’s time as a politician is done. “Chandrababu allied TDP with Congress in Telangana and lost his credibility here. He then allied with the BJP in AP, which is a historic blunder. No regional party that has ever allied with a national party has seen prolonged success. TDP is a closed chapter in the Telugu states and Jagan will retain power in AP in 2024.”
Reacting to Maganti’s prediction on AP polls, a few TDP activists on social media are saying the MLA must first look at BRS’s existential crisis in Telangana before commenting on AP. They are saying that an MLA with just five years of experience speaking about the existence of a four-decade+ deeply-rooted party isn’t credible enough to make an argument.
