What A Comeback! Kohli Gets 100, India In Command

The ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia has witnessed a remarkable comeback as the host nation India put on a clinical show with the bat.

After bowled out for 150 in the first innings, India can back strong in the second innings, scoring 487-6 before declaring.

Before the declaration came the spellbinding innings from Virat Kohli who reached his 30th test hundred which happens to be his 81st in all formats of the game.

The last time that Kohli got a 100 in Australia was back in 2018 and after a wait of 6 years, he achieved the same today by scoring 100 from 143 balls.

With this, India’s lead in the first game spiked up to 533 runs and the stage is set for enthralling run for the remainder of the first test match.

India, with a lead of 533 runs is now in pole position to win the first match and this has been a comeback for the ages. Needless to say, Nitish Kumar Reddy had a firm role to play with his anchor knock in the first innings and then a solid came in the second.
