The number of suicide rates among youngsters is alarmingly increasing and after shocking suicide cases like B-town actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta, celebrity manager Disha and actor Manmeet Grewal, another popular figure and young talent from the world of entertainment, Siya Kakkar committed suicide today.
Siya was only 16 years old and she was a famous TikTok artist and dancer with a decent number of fan base. She committed suicide on June 25 in New Delhi and this tragic news was confirmed by her Talent management agency head, Arjun Sarin, who managed all her work and endorsements.
Arjun said, “This must be due to something personal because she was fine work-wise. I had a conversation with her last night for a new project and she sounded normal. Me and my company Fame Experts manage lots of artists and Siya was a bright talent. I am heading to her home in Preet Vihar.” Late Siya was an enthusiastic TikToker and was active on all the online platforms like Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube. She had over 104k followers on Instagram and over 1.1 million followers on TikTok.
Suicide among youngsters are becoming common nowadays and one of the reasons is the constant comparison on social media. We’re comparing our lives to others and becoming overly aware of things we don’t have. Other reasons for taking the drastic step include fear of failure, misguided future ideals and lack of knowledge about the value of life. We don’t know what made Siya Kakkar end her life, but, this is not the solution. May her soul rest in peace!
