Microsoft Orders China Employees To Use iPhones For Work

Microsoft passed the orders for the staff in a move to tighten the cybersecurity following attacks. The tech giant ordered China staff to use iPhones for work and drop Andriod.

Microsoft told employees in China they will only be able to verify their identities when logging in, starting September this year. This move is going to affect hundreds of workers across Chinese mainland and they will have to use Microsoft Authenticator Password Manager and Identity Pass app on their iPhones.

The employees will each receive an iPhone 15 and they will not be allowed to use phones like Xiaomi, Huawei, Redmi, OnePlus, and Oppo any longer.

Microsoft decided to block access from those devices to its corporate resources as they lack Google’s mobile services in the country, according to the report.
